The name Viking Royals started as an idea from Martin Brailli in Reading and Magnus Carlund decided that he would use it for our site on Svenska Fans. He didn’t know if there were any other fans for Reading in Sweden when he started the site, 12/8 2002, but there were a couple of other mad men out there…

We have come a long way since then. Our goal is to discuss Reading, meet up for games on TV and trying to get together for trips to England. The travelling is the tricky part and we have at most managed to get three of us together when we travelled to the game against West Ham when AP returned to Reading. We really enjoyed that one… The website is the place where we discuss the club, where we write articles about upcoming matches and a match report after the game.

The season 2008/09 also means that we are now a member of STAR (Supporters trust at Reading) as an exile group for Scandinavia. This group is for everybody that supports Reading in Scandinavia – and we have added this page to help our English speaking Vikings!! Reading Alla visste på förhand vad det var för match. Två bottenlag som inte var ur teoretiskt men i praktiken. Två lag som bara spelade för sin stolthet och för fansen. Förloraren skulle bli klar som det första laget att bli nerskickade till Championship och vinnaren skulle leva på ett minimaliskt hopp men ändå blir nerskickade så småningom. Nu blev det 0-0 på Madejski Stadium och de två första lagen från Premier League är klara för nedflyttning.
