Craig Disley har inte haft en lätt första säsong hos Shrewsbury då en knäskada gjorde det svårt för honom att komma i form de fyra första månaderna och nu när han äntligen har kommit upp i förväntad spelnivå blir han åter igen borta på grund av sin skada. Det var i 1-1 matchen mot Rotherham som Disley fastnade med benet i det leriga underlaget så benet vred sig. Disley blev liggandes i fyra minuter innan han kunde bli utburen med bår och syrgas och idag fick man beskedet från röntgen att hans vrist var bruten.
Nu väntar vila minst åtta veckor men tills svullnaden har gått ner kan man inte riktigt säkert säga hur lång tid Disley blir borta. Paul Simpson som precis hade fått en skadefri trupp att jobba med lider med Disley.
"It is a massive blow for Craig as he was just getting back into the side after a couple of other injuries.
We are booking him in to see a specialist and once we have the results from that we will know the long term implications. The x-rays revealed a break to the ankle and the early prognosis is that Craig will be missing for around 8 weeks but until the swelling has gone down we won't know for sure."
