Newcastle United Fotball Club har precis kommit med ett uttalande angeånde Joey Barton. Uttalandet lyder på följande vis

NEWCASTLE United officials can confirm they have met with Joey Barton today (July 29) following which it has been agreed by everyone involved that Joey will remain with the Club.
The Club will not be making any further comment on the matter. "
Som väntat med andra ord. Det återstår att se hur lång tid Joey behöver på sig för att träna ikapp övriga lagkamrater.
