Uppståndelsen kring Neal Bishops övergång till Notts County blev stor då det rapporterades att han enbart meddelat Ian Hendon via SMS. Detta efter att först ha lovat att stanna i Barnet och Ian Hendon flugit på semester i Spanien.
Nu avlämnar Bishop sin sida av historien och ger en förklaring hur han anser att det gick till:
"I was thinking of staying because Ian Hendon is a top bloke and a really good manager."
"But as soon as I met the manager (Ian McParland) and Dave (Kevan) I got a good feeling for Notts, I knew it was the right club for me."
"It's a load of nonsense I told Ian in a text, I spoke to him and told him I was coming to Notts.
"He said he understood and told me I'm joining a good club. He knows because he was captain."
"I sent him a text asking him to ring me because I couldn't get hold of him on his holiday."
"It's been interpreted wrongly and it's disappointing."
Om varför han skrev på för the Magpies:
"There was interest from other clubs and I spoke to one or two others but the manager (McParland) told me where he wants to take Notts and I want to be a part of that."
