Daniel Alfei skriver nytt kontrakt

Den blott 19-årige försvararen Daniel Alfei kommer att stanna i klubben till 2014, i alla fall enligt kontraktet. Efter att ha imponerat under säsongen ger nu Swansea honom jobb en tid framöver. Alfei har spelat för Wales U21-landslag och det är mycket trevligt att Swans väljer att satsa på egna spelare. Han har ju inte spelat alltför mycket denna säsong (debut mot Colchester i FA-cupen, blev ManoftheMatch i 4-0 segern!) men det är framförallt på träningar han imponerat. Swanseas tränare Brendan Rodgers säger:

"He was outstanding (mot Colchester, reds anm). For an 18-year-old to come in and perform like that was fantastic and he deserved his man-of-the-match award. I always want to give young players a chance if they are committed. He deserved it because I have seen him train with us every day since I've been here. Over time he will develop into a very good player. More importantly, he's got all the traits to be a very good Swansea City player.''
