Officiella hemsidan har nämligen gått ut med att holländska landslagsmålvakten Michel Vorm skrivit på för Swansea, som betalar Utrecht 1,5 miljoner pund för spelaren. Med fem landskamper och ett VM-silver från förra VM (samt ett U21 EM-guld) så är det helt klart en mycket bra ersättare för De Vries.
Den 27-åriga målvakten har tidigare spelat för Utrecht i den holländska ligan, tillsammans med bland annat Swanseabekantingen Cedric Van Der Gun. Han har även mött Kemy Agustien och Ferrie Bodde som finns i laget. I ett uttalande på Swanseas hemsida säger Vorm:
"The style is very much the same as we like to play in Holland, and similar to Spain, and that is a major attraction for me. The manager wants to play the right way, and he and the club showed that they really wanted me. That is very important.
I also felt straight away how close everyone is here. It is similar to Utrecht - a close, family club. That will help us in the Premier League. We need to be fighting together and if we keep the same style as the club had last season then I can't see why we won't surprise a lot of people."
